Development of a system that will create weakness and / or completely obstruct the activities of UAVs
The goal of the project
Depending on technological developments, significant developments are taking place in UAVs and in the beneficial loads that they can carry. Depending on these developments, the UAVs are widely used in the military and civilian areas. Along with the widespread use of UAVs, the prospect of being used by opponents has also increased. The use of UAV against the hostile targets is not only limited to the period of war, but it can always come as a threat. Its use by terrorist elements is also becoming widespread. The UAV, which was landed to the White House, or the UAV which was landed during the speech of Germany Prime Minister Angela Merkel in 2013 showed how dangerous the UAV would be.
With this project; as a first step UAV will be detected and identified. Then, depending on its technical characteristics appropriate countermeasures will be used to neutralize the UAV.
There is no single solution for perception because the dimensions, characteristics, and utility loads of the UAVs vary. For this purpose, radar, passive RF direction finding systems, Electro Optic (EO), and a sensor unit which is combined with acoustic sensors and can be changed according to needs environment is required. Active component of active countermeasures, including capabilities for RF jamming, laser jamming or physical destruction, depending on the ambient conditions and the sensitivities of the UAV for the subsequent determination of the UAV. It is aimed to develop all subsystem components with national capabilities.
